§ 20-89. Sale of dedicated land.
If, during the ensuing time between dedication of land for park purposes and the commencement of first-stage development, circumstances arise which indicate that another site would be more suitable for local park or recreational purposes serving the subdivision and the neighborhood (such as a gift of park land or change in school location) by mutual agreement of the subdivider or owner and the board of supervisors the dedicated land may be sold upon the approval of the board of supervisors with the resultant funds being used for the purchase or development of a more suitable site. If the agency responsible for development fails to fulfill terms of the provisions of this chapter relating to park development, the board of supervisors may return the funds or lands to the subdivider or owner.
