§ 23-2. Inspection; rejection; notice to destroy or remove rejected trees.

  • The agricultural commissioner of the county shall inspect each and every lot, load or shipment of fruit or nut trees intended for sale or planting in the county and shall reject any or all fruit or nut trees that do not conform to the quality and condition of provisions of section 23-1. Immediately after such inspection and rejection, the county agricultural commissioner shall in writing notify the owner or agent in charge of the lot, load or shipment of fruit or nut trees of the number and varieties rejected and the reason therefor and shall order the owner or agent to destroy or ship the rejected trees out of the county within reasonable time.
