§ 2-1. Office hours generally.

Except as otherwise provided by law or by resolution of the board of supervisors, county offices shall be open for the transaction of business every day except Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays and at such other specifically designated times as may be required by law. Upon consideration of the public need, budgetary limitations, staffing levels and the desirability of coordinating the times during which various departments are available to the public, the board of supervisors may, by resolution, specify those hours during which individual departments will be open to the public. Absent such a specification, all county offices shall be open for the transaction of business from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the days previously specified herein.
