§ 2-25. Established; designated.

  • Five (5) Supervisorial districts are hereby established within the county, follows: which districts are designated and described as follows:

    SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT NO. 1

    Beginning at the intersection of State Highway 70 and the centerline of South Honcut Creek, which is also the Butte County boundary common with Yuba County; thence northerly along said State Highway 70 centerline, 28.5 miles, more or less, to the centerline of the West Branch of Lake Oroville, also being the centerline of the West Branch of the Feather River in Lake Oroville; thence northerly along said centerline of the West Branch of the Feather River to the south line of Section 32, Township 22 North, Range 4 East, MDM; thence westerly along said south line of Section 32 to the southwest corner of said Section 32; thence northerly along the west line of Sections 32, 29, 20, 17, 8 and 5, Township 22 North, Range 4 East, MDM, and the west line of Sections 32, 29 and 20, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, MDM, 9 miles, more or less, to the northwest corner of Section 20, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, MDM; thence easterly along the north line of Sections 20 and 21, same Township and Range, to the northeast corner of said Section 21; thence northerly along the west line of Sections 15, 10 and 3, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, MDM, to the quarter section corner common to Sections 3 and 4 of said Township and Range; thence easterly along the east-west centerline of said Section 3, ¾ mile, more or less, to the centerline of the West Branch of the Feather River; thence northerly 4½ miles, more or less, along said centerline of the West Branch of the Feather River to the north line of Section 21, Township 24 North, Range 4 East, MDM; thence easterly along the north line of Sections 21, 22, 23 and 24, Township 24 North, Range 4 East, MDM, and Sections 19, 20 and 21, Township 24 North, Range 5 East, MDM, to the Butte County boundary common with Plumas County; thence generally southeasterly along said County boundary common to Butte and Plumas Counties to the Yuba County line; thence generally southerly and westerly along the boundary common to Butte and Yuba Counties to its intersection with the centerline of State Highway 70 and the point of beginning.

    SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT NO. 2

    Beginning at the intersection of the common boundary of Butte County and Tehama County with the centerline of an electric transmission line easement in the northwest quarter of Section 4, Township 23 North, Range 1 East, MDM; thence southeasterly, along the centerline of said electric transmission line easement through Sections 4, 9, 10, 15, 22 and 27, Township 23 North, Range 1 East, to the centerline of Cohasset Road; thence southerly along said centerline of Cohasset Road to the centerline of East Eaton Road; thence westerly along said centerline of East Eaton Road to the centerline of State Highway 99; thence southerly along said centerline of State Highway 99 to the centerline of Lassen Avenue; thence southwesterly along said centerline of West Lassen Avenue to the centerline of Esplanade; thence southeasterly along said centerline of Esplanade to the centerline of Big Chico Creek; thence northeasterly along said centerline of Big Chico Creek to the centerline of State Highway 99; thence southeasterly along said centerline of State Highway 99 to the centerline of East Twentieth Street; thence southwesterly along said centerline of East Twentieth Street to the centerline of Park Avenue; thence northwesterly along said centerline of Park Avenue to the centerline of Oroville Avenue; thence northwesterly along said centerline of Oroville Avenue to the centerline of West Eighth Street, also known as westbound State Highway 32; thence southwesterly along said centerline of West Eighth Street and State Highway 32 to the centerline of the Union Pacific Railroad; thence northwesterly along the centerline of said Union Pacific Railroad to the centerline of West First Street; thence southwesterly along said centerline of West First Street to the centerline of Oak Park Avenue; thence westerly along said centerline of Oak Park Avenue to the centerline of Rose Avenue; thence southerly along said centerline of Rose Avenue to the centerline of Chico River Road; thence southwesterly along said centerline of Chico River Road to the centerline of River Road; thence northwesterly along said centerline of River Road to the centerline of Big Chico Creek; thence southwesterly along said centerline of Big Chico Creek to the centerline of the Sacramento River also being on the common boundary between Butte County and Glenn County; thence northerly and westerly along the border common to Butte County and Glenn County to the border common to Butte County and Tehama County; thence northerly and easterly along the boundary common to Butte County and Tehama County to the centerline of an electric transmission line easement in the northwest quarter of Section 4, Township 23 North, Range 1 East, MDM, and the point of beginning.

    SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT NO. 3

    Beginning at the intersection of the common boundary of Butte County and Tehama County with the centerline of an electric transmission line easement in the northwest quarter of Section 4, Township 23 North, Range 1 East, MDM; thence southeasterly, along the centerline of said electric transmission line easement through Sections 4, 9, 10, 15, 22 and 27, Township 23 North, Range 1 East, to the centerline of Cohasset Road; thence southerly along said centerline of Cohasset Road to the centerline of East Eaton Road; thence westerly along said centerline of East Eaton Road to the centerline of State Highway 99; thence southerly along said centerline of State Highway 99 to the centerline of Lassen Avenue; thence southwesterly along said centerline of West Lassen Avenue to the centerline of Esplanade; thence southeasterly along said centerline of Esplanade to the centerline of Big Chico Creek; thence northeasterly along said centerline of Big Chico Creek to the centerline of State Highway 99; thence southeasterly along said centerline of State Highway 99 to the centerline of westbound State Highway 32; thence northeasterly along said centerline of westbound State Highway 32 and State Highway 32, also known as Deer Creek Highway to the easterly right-of-way line of a PG&E tower line easement, located in the easterly half of Section 21, Township 22 North, Range 2 East; thence southeasterly along said PG&E tower line easement 0.9 mile, more or less, to the centerline of Little Chico Creek in the northwest quarter of Section 27, Township 22 North, Range 2 East, MDM; thence northerly along said centerline of Little Chico Creek to the centerline of Crown Point Road; thence easterly along said centerline of Crown Point Road to the centerline of Doe Mill Road; thence northerly along said centerline of Doe Mill Road to the south line of Section 27, Township 24 North, Range 3 East, MDM; thence easterly along said south line of Section 27 to the southeast corner of said Section 27; thence northerly 9½ miles, more or less, along the east line of Sections 27, 22, 15, 10 and 3, Township 24 North, Range 3 East, MDM, and Sections 34, 27, 22, 15 and 10, Township 25 North, Range 3 East, MDM, to the one-quarter section corner between Sections 10 and 11, said point also being on the boundary common to Butte County and Tehama County; thence southerly and westerly along the common boundary between Butte County and Tehama County to the centerline of an electric transmission line easement in the northwest quarter of Section 4, Township 23 North, Range 1 East, MDM, and the point of beginning.

    SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT NO. 4

    Beginning at the intersection of State Highway 70 and the centerline of South Honcut Creek, which is also the Butte County boundary common with Yuba County; thence northerly along said State Highway 70 centerline to the intersection with State Highway 149; thence northwesterly along said centerline of State Highway 149 4.6 miles, more or less, to its intersection with State Highway 99; thence northwesterly along said centerline of State Highway 99 1.8 miles, more or less, to the westerly projection of the centerline of Falager Court; thence easterly along the projected centerline of Falager Court, the centerline of Falager Court and the centerline of Durham Pentz Road, 1 mile, more or less, to the southeast corner of Section 25, Township 21 North, Range 2 East, MDM; thence north along the Range line between Range 2 East and Range 3 East and the east line of Sections 25, 24, 13, 12 and 1, Township 21 North, Range 2 East, and Section 36, Township 22 North, Range 2 East, to the centerline of Skyway; thence southwesterly along said centerline of Skyway 5.9 miles, more or less, to the centerline of Bruce Road; thence northerly along said centerline of Bruce Road to the centerline of State Highway 32, also known as the Deer Creek Highway; thence southwesterly along said centerline of State Highway 32 and the centerline of westbound State Highway 32 to the centerline of State Highway 99; thence southeasterly along said centerline of State Highway 99 to the centerline of East Twentieth Street; thence southwesterly along said centerline of East Twentieth Street to the centerline of Park Avenue; thence northwesterly along said centerline of Park Avenue to the centerline of Oroville Avenue; thence northwesterly along said centerline of Oroville Avenue to the centerline of West Eighth Street, also known as westbound State Highway 32; thence southwesterly along said centerline of West Eighth Street and State Highway 32 to the centerline of the Union Pacific Railroad; thence northwesterly along said centerline of the Union Pacific Railroad to the centerline of West First Street; thence southwesterly along said centerline of West First Street to the centerline of Oak Park Avenue; thence westerly along said centerline of Oak Park Avenue to the centerline of Rose Avenue; thence southerly along said centerline of Rose Avenue to the centerline of Chico River Road; thence southwesterly along said centerline of Chico River Road to the centerline of River Road; thence northwesterly along said centerline of River Road to the centerline of Big Chico Creek; thence southwesterly along said centerline of Big Chico Creek to the centerline of the Sacramento River, also being on the common boundary between Butte County and Glenn County; thence southerly and easterly along the boundary common to Butte County and Glenn County to the boundary common to Butte County and Colusa County; thence continuing southerly to the boundary common to Butte County and Sutter County; thence easterly along the boundary common to Butte County and Sutter County to the boundary common to Butte County and Yuba County; thence easterly along the boundary common to Butte County and Yuba County to the intersection of the centerline of State Highway 70 and the point of beginning.

    SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT NO. 5

    Beginning at the intersection of State Highway 70 and State Highway 149; thence northwesterly along said centerline of State Highway 149 4.6 miles, more or less, to its intersection with State Highway 99; thence northwesterly along said centerline of State Highway 99 1.8 miles, more or less, to the westerly projection of the centerline of Falager Court; thence easterly along the projected centerline of Falager Court, the centerline of Falager Court and the centerline of Durham Pentz Road 1 mile, more or less, to the southeast corner of Section 25, Township 21 North, Range 2 East, MDM; thence north along the Range line between Range 2 East and Range 3 East and the east line of Sections 25, 24, 13, 12 and 1, Township 21 North, Range 2 East and Section 36, Township 2 North, Range 2 East, to the centerline of Skyway; thence southwesterly along said centerline of Skyway 5.9 miles, more or less, to the centerline of Bruce Road; thence northerly along said centerline of Bruce Road to the centerline of State Highway 32, also known as the Deer Creek Highway; thence northeasterly along said centerline of State Highway 32 2.1 miles, more or less, to the easterly right-of-way line of a PG&E tower line easement located in the easterly half of Section 21, Township 22 North, Range 2 East; thence southeasterly along said PG&E tower line easement 0.9 mile, more or less, to the centerline of Little Chico Creek in the northwest quarter of Section 27, Township 22 North, Range 2 East, MDM; thence northerly along said centerline of Little Chico Creek to the centerline of Crown Point Road; thence easterly along said centerline of Crown Point Road to the centerline of Doe Mill Road; thence northerly along said centerline of Doe Mill Road to the south line of Section 27, Township 24 North, Range 3 East, MDM; thence easterly along said south line of Section 27 to the southeast corner of said Section 27; thence northerly 9½ miles, more or less, along the east line of Sections 27, 22, 15, 10 and 3, Township 24 North, Range 3 East, MDM, and Sections 34, 27, 22, 15 and 10, Township 25 North, Range 3 East, MDM, to the one-quarter section corner between Sections 10 and 11, said point also being on the boundary common to Butte County and Tehama County; thence generally northeasterly along the boundary common to Butte County and Tehama County to the boundary common to Butte County and Plumas County; thence generally southerly along the boundary common to Butte County and Plumas County to the north line of Section 21, Township 24 North, Range 5 East, MDM; thence westerly along the north line of Sections 21, 20 and 19, Township 24 North, Range 5 East, MDM, and Sections 24, 23, 22 and 21, Township 24 North, Range 4 East, MDM, to the centerline of the West Branch of the Feather River; thence southerly 4½ miles, more or less, along said centerline of the West Branch of the Feather River to the east-west centerline of Section 3, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, MDM; thence westerly along the east-west centerline of said Section 3 ¾ mile, more or less, to the one-quarter section corner common to Sections 3 and 4, of said Township and Range; thence southerly along the west line of Sections 3, 10 and 15, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, MDM, to the northeast corner of Section 21, same Township and Range; thence westerly along the north line of Sections 21 and 20, same Township and Range, to the northwest corner of Section 20, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, MDM; thence southerly along the west line of Sections 20, 29 and 32, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, MDM, and Sections 5, 8, 17, 20, 29 and 32, Township 22 North, Range 4 East, to the southwest corner of said Section 32; thence easterly along the south line of said Section 32 to the centerline of the West Branch of the Feather River, also being the centerline of the West Branch of Lake Oroville; thence southerly along said centerline of the West Branch of the Feather River to the centerline of State Highway 70; thence southwesterly along said centerline of State Highway 70 the centerline of State Highway 149, and the point of beginning.
