§ 31-11.30. Bin.

  • "Bin" means a container in which solid waste, including recyclable material and yard waste, is stored pending pickup, having the following characteristics:

    (1)

    A lid, the top of which shall not exceed seventy-two (72) inches in height from the surface of the ground at grade level, and

    (2)

    A capacity of at least one (1) cubic yard but not more than eight (8) cubic yards, and

    (3)

    The capability of being collected by front-end or rear loading truck.

    "Bins" are often referred to colloquially as "dumpsters."
