§ 31-11.520.3. Source separated recyclable materials.

"Source separated recyclable materials" means recyclable materials that meet all of the following requirements:

(a)

The generator or owner sorts and removes them from solid waste for collection in separate containers and reuse, recycling, composting or other diversion from landfill disposal authorized by the County Solid Waste Manager;

(b)

They contain no putrescible solid waste, as demonstrated to the satisfaction of the County Solid Waste Manager; and

(c)

They contain less than five (5) percent of total weight in contaminating solid waste that cannot be reused, recycled, composted or otherwise utilized, as demonstrated to the satisfaction of the County Solid Waste Manager.
