The purpose of the local task force shall be to recommend to the Board of Supervisors
proposed amendments, additions and deletions to this chapter and to study federal,
state and local laws and regulations relating to solid waste collection, its management,
and recycling. The local task force shall develop goals, policies, and procedures
which are consistent with guidelines and regulations adopted pursuant to the California
Integrated Waste Management Act, and shall guide development of the siting element
of the countywide integrated waste management plan.
