§ 36-2. Fee.

The sheriff is hereby authorized to charge a fee to each person confined in the Butte County Jail. The amount of the fee shall include a one-time fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) to defray the expenses of the initial booking into the jail, and a daily fee of twenty-three dollars and sixty cents ($23.60) for each day in custody.
