§ 51-2. Purpose.

  • Upon the Board of Supervisors approval of the Center-Led Contracting/Procurement Policies and Procedures, along with the new Chapter 46, departments that have been trained and certified will be governed by the new Chapter 46 and Center-Led Contracting/Procurement Policies and Procedures. The purpose of the Butte County Temporary Retention of the Purchasing Policy Manual during Transition to New Policies and Procedures Ordinance is to allow departments to operate under the old Purchasing Policy Manual until trained and certified under the new Center-Led Contracting/Procurement Policies and Procedures. Untrained/uncertified departments will be governed by this chapter sunset ordinance and follow the Purchasing Policy Manual — May, 2008 (Rev. 5-08) until trained and certified in the Center-Led Contracting/Procurement Policies and Procedures, at which time they will be governed by Chapter 46 and the Center-Led Contracting/Procurement Policies and Procedures.
