§ 9-5. Same—Approval or rejection by sheriff; revocability.
The sheriff is hereby granted the right to approve or reject any such application and in granting the same each permit shall contain the provision that it shall be revocable at will by the board. The sheriff shall approve such license unless he determines that the granting of such license would be detrimental to the public health or safety. Any disapproval may be appealed by the applicant to the board of supervisors. The clerk of the board of supervisors shall advise the applicant and the sheriff of the place and time that the board of supervisors shall hear the appeal.
